SMA Research Lab attends Cross-Cultural Business Conference in Steyr

The researchers Manuel Erlacher and Lucas Huter took part in this year's Cross-Cultural Business Conference, which took place on May 14, 2014 in Steyr (Upper Austria). Besides attending insightful

speeches (inter alia keynote given by UN Deputy Director for Partnerships and Public Engagement Ramu Damodaran) and the exchange of research ideas with other conference participants, the SMA team had the opportunity to present its paper on Acquisition Learning to an international audience. The presented study compared learning effects for acquisitions in similar and culturally/institutionally dissimilar environmental settings and found that acquisition learning is more difficult in cross-border settings than in a mere domestic environment.
