SMA Research Lab Team attends TIIM International Conference in Seoul

SMA team member Daniel Degischer attended the Techonology Innovation and Industrial Management (TIIM) International Confrence taking place from May 27 to 30 in Seoul, South Korea. In addition to exchanging and sharing expertise, the SMA Team presented a paper by Mai Anh Dao and Daniel Degischer that examined different integration strategies and innovation.

The work focussed on different approaches of acquiring companies when integrating innovation into the acquiring company. Thereby, a distinction between three major categories, namely “upstream”, “product development” and “product line extension” has been made. The main results show the neccesity to identify the innovation types before implementing an integration strategy. [further information]
